The bulkheads at Lighting Centre are either maintained or non-maintained and are suitable for indoor use. Maintained versions can be switched on or off. The light can be continuous to direct people to exits when required. Another version is the non-maintained type of lighting. This type of lighting cannot be switched on and off, it will automatically come on when the power source is cut, illuminating important paths and exits in the building.
At Lighting Centre, one of the most popular internal bulkheads is the 58W T8 IP65 HF Non Corrosive Batten. This particular bulkhead comes in either emergency form or regular and can also be used outdoors if necessary as the batten is IP65 rated. The fitting is perfect for areas which require a waterproof and dustproof lighting solution. The high frequency control gear ensures the fitting has a flicker free start and has a much lower running cost when used with triphosper tubes. The fitting also uses a polycarbonate prismatic diffuser and measures in at 1560mm long, 85mm wide and 100mm deep.
Energy saving solutions in the Lighting Centre range include a white maintained LED bulkhead which uses 50 separate LEDs with a polycarbonate base and a prismatic diffuser. The value for money with this product is fantastic and the LED lamps have an expected life of around 50,000 hours.
