LED Emergency Lighting
The nature of an emergency light is to automatically activate as soon as the power to the unit has been cut. Emergency lighting is a necessity in almost every commercial and residential building and, with this particular line of emergency lighting, consists of clusters of light emitting diodes (LED).
At Lighting Centre, the most popular LED emergency light is the LED maintained bulkhead luminaire. This is an LED bulkhead which is IP65 rated and has a Fresnel diffuser along with a polycarbonate base which houses 30 high output LEDs (white) and also has a maintained drive circuit.
The bulkhead fitting generates a wide intensity distribution, making it perfect for illuminating escape routes in your building, providing a 70 lumen output in the process. The polycarbonate lens on the bulkhead can be fitted with a self adhesive safety legend and the unit is manufactured right here in the UK, by an ICEL approved manufacturer who specialise in using only quality parts and components.
The unit has a cool operation thanks to the LEDs which have an expected life of 50,000 hours which also make the unit low energy (10 watt operation). The bulkhead is maintenance free apart from a 5 year battery change.
