This Panther HiD High Intensity Searchlight has high and low lightbeams along with a 50W HiD xenon main bulb. This searchlight has a 3W Luxeon Star secondary bulb and can operate for two hours on high beam and 18 hours on a low beam. The battery has a charging indicator goes from red to green and also comes with an adjustable stand.
The unit is also supplied with a mains charger along with a detachable shoulder strap. This searchlight offers the latest technology of high intensity discharge Xenon lighting. Unlike conventional filament lamps, with HID Xenon, the light is created by an arc of gas in a small glass sphere. This makes it very efficient and also very powerful. You will get 3 times the light output when compared with a halogen and has a much whiter, more natural light colour.
The searchlight will operate for 2 hours on a single charge. The HID also has a secondary lower level light using the powerful Luxeon 3 Watt Star. A special lens is fitted to this unit to give it a concentrated beam. This will operate in excess of 20 hours per charge and has a 100,000 hour life. The HID is powered by a Nickel Metal Hydride battery pack (Ni-MH), these batteries are much lighter when compared to sealed lead acid batteries, and can be recharged at any state of discharge without any risk of restricted memory.
